Skills are undoubtedly the most important values that define your character. Your attributes and birth sign can influence the game to some extent, but ability scores are at the heart of what you can and can't do - in how you fare with almost everything in the game. The better you are at Sneaking, the easier it is to steal and sneak past unsuspecting enemies; the higher your Speechcraft stat, the easier the disposition minigame will be.
Each of the 21 skills we have is at one of the 5 levels of mastery, indicated in the table below with the corresponding value ranges. Every next level means new perks and additions.
Two of the fastest ways to train our skills are trainers and books - you'll find everything about them below, with descriptions of specific skills. In addition to them, you can always train yourself. “Practice makes perfect” is their motto at Oblivion, you will always learn the ones you use most often.
There are 5 trainers for each skill. Two of them can raise your skill value to 40, two to 70, and there's a Master Trainer that can take you up to 100 (which is the maximum base value, which can then be increased by item bonuses). The latter will almost always have a quest for you to accomplish before agreeing to train him.
TIP: To train with the Master, you must be sent to him by one of the mid-level trainers. If you reach skill score 70, just ask one of them about "Training" (you might need to gossip with them first). You will receive a new marker on the map, indicating the location of the Master Trainer.

stunts

Alchemy

Change
Description: Changeis a skill that focuses on various useful spells like breathing in water or picking locks. It's the best way for a mage to avoid having to learn a few non-magical skills. Rule Ability:Willpower. |

Master Trainer Quest:Tooth-in-the-Sea tells you to spend 3 hours underwater with him (you'll have to talk to him before 1pm). You can do this any way you like - using the Water Breathing spell, potions, special equipment (like helmets that breathe in water). If you are an Argonian, you do not have to pass the test.

gunsmith
Description: gunsmithis an ability to repair armor and weapons, reducing their degradation effects and, over time, increasing their power. You must haverepair hammersto repair items. Rule Ability:Resistance. |
Apprentice Skills:Hammer break chance reduced by half.
Traveler Skills:You can also repair magic items.
Specialized Skills:You can upgrade items up to 125% of their power, which means weapons will do more damage and armor will protect you better.
Master Skills:There is no possibility of breaking a hammer.
Regular Training:Repairing weapons and armor.

Block
Description: Blockis an ability to deflect enemy attacks with shields or weapons to reduce the damage taken by their blows. Remember that you can also use the bow to block. government skill: Resistance. |
Apprentice Skills:No fatigue loss while blocking.
Traveler Skills:Weapons and shields do not take block damage.
Specialized Skills:A chance to counterattack after a successful block.

Conjuration

Shooter
